Function description
As a machine operator, you are responsible for managing the process and setting up and operating the machines. You start the production process, operate the machines, make adjustments where necessary, supervise the proper functioning of the machines. When the machine stops working, you try to solve the problem or call the technician. You follow the production schedule, communicate correctly and efficiently with your fellow operators to ensure the production process runs smoothly, etc. When necessary, you perform an administrative task.

Our client is a family-owned peel company for raw and fresh potato products located in Meulebeke near Tielt. As a rapidly growing company, they are currently looking for production operators/machine operators to strengthen the production.
Requirements
For this position, we are looking for candidates who have previous work experience as an operator or packer in a production environment. Experience in the food industry is a plus. It is necessary that you can work autonomously and have a strong sense of responsibility. We expect you to have some technical insight, a good command of the Dutch or English language, and be willing to work in shifts (starting from the early shift at 03:00) or in the afternoon. Being able to operate a forklift is a plus. It is important that you can maintain an orderly and tidy workspace and always adhere to safety and hygiene regulations.
