Function description
As a mechanic, you are responsible for repair and preventive maintenance of trucks and trailers. Your tasks include:
- Maintenance of trucks, trailers and cooling units (Carrier / Thermoking)
- Repair and inspection of brake systems, lighting and small bodywork
- Preparing vehicles and trailers for technical inspection
- Optional: performing diagnostics on trucks
- General garage and maintenance work
- You work in a shift system (starting with day shifts):
- Monday to Friday:
- 05:00 – 12:00/12:30
- 13:00 – 20:00/20:30
- Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00
- Weekend checks: once every 5 weeks

min €18.5 - max €23 per hour

Organisation
Our client is an established and respected transport company, active in logistics and refrigerated transport. The company is part of STEF Group Belgium, a strong international group. You will work in the garage department, together with 5 colleagues, and you will be in regular contact with drivers and the transport team.
Requirements
- Experience as a mechanic is a plus
- You can work independently and are physically fit
- You are a team player, motivated and flexible
- You speak, read and write Dutch or English
- CE driving licence is an advantage, but not required. If you do not have CE licence, you must be willing to obtain it (possible within the company)
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and vehicle electricity
