Function description

As a refrigeration technician, you go to different project sites together with one or more experienced colleagues. Your main focus is on installing, wiring, and electrically connecting the components of refrigeration installations. Your tasks include:

  • Installing and connecting components of refrigeration and freezing systems
  • Wiring and electrically connecting different parts of the installation
  • Measuring, placing, and connecting piping for refrigerants, water, and air
  • Installing supports for components such as units, condensers, and heat exchangers
  • Checking installations for correct operation and leak tightness
  • Supporting vacuuming and filling of refrigeration systems
  • Helping with the commissioning and adjustment of installations
  • Adjusting parameters such as temperature and pressure
  • Recording intervention and installation information
  • Passing relevant information on to the responsible department
  • Working safely and according to technical instructions

You will work alongside experienced colleagues, so there is plenty of opportunity to learn the job step by step and develop your technical knowledge.

Salary: min €18 per hour
  • Minimum €18,00/hour based on profile and experience

Organisation

You will work for a fast-growing technical company in the south of West Flanders, active mainly throughout West and East Flanders and occasionally in other regions. The company installs high-quality refrigeration and freezing systems based on natural refrigerants, using modern techniques and with a strong focus on environmentally friendly solutions. You will work closely with experienced technicians and receive support from the project manager throughout your development.

Requirements

  • You have EU nationality
  • Good basic knowledge of electricity and/or electromechanics, gained through education or previous work experience
  • Strong motivation to learn and develop
  • Hands-on and practical attitude
  • Team-oriented and collegial mindset
  • Strong attention to safe working practics
  • Interest in refrigeration technology
  • Previous experience in refrigeration is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems using natural refrigerants such as CO₂ is an important advantage
  • Willingness to work on different project sites
