Function description
As a production operator in the aluminium foundry, you are responsible for both melting and casting operations. Your tasks include:
- As melting furnace operator:
- Loading the melting furnace according to the planned tonnage
- Taking and analysing samples
- Correcting the final alloy by mixing different types of scrap
- As casting furnace operator:
- Operating the casting furnace to cast rolling ingots according to the given casting parameters
- Ensuring the correct chemical composition of the melt
- Finishing cast products from the casting moulds
- General tasks:
- Complying with safety regulations for molten metal
- Following procedures and instructions regarding safety, quality, and environment according to ISO standards
- Preparatory work, order, and cleanliness of workstations and 5S activities
- Correct and safe use of rolling stock
Offer
Salary:
min €18.98 per hour
- Starting wage of €18,98/hour
- After 3 months: €19,40/hour
- After 6 months: €19,61/hour
- Shift premium of 12%
- Night premium of 30%
- After positive evaluation, growth to €21,19/hour as a fully qualified foundry worker
- Work in a 5-shift system
- Immediate start for a minimum of 3 months

Requirements
- You have EU nationality
- Experience as a furnace operator, including loading, monitoring melt temperature, skimming, and adding alloying elements
- Experience with the casting process, including DC casting, controlling metal flow, and preventing oxidation
- At least one of the four team members must be fluent in English to act as team leader and point of contact
- The remaining three must understand basic safety instructions in English
- Technical secondary education or equivalent through experience
- Safety-first mindset in every activity
- Sense of order, cleanliness, quality, and environmental awareness
- Proactive and task-oriented with strict adherence to safety procedures
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
